ComicLink® is a full-service auction house, exchange and brokerage service for vintage, investment-quality comic books and original comic art. ComicLink's mission is to help sellers maximize return, whether selling an entire collection, or selling individual comic books or comic art. Launched on the Web in early 1996, ComicLink.com
has established the strongest network of buyers and sellers of vintage comic books and comic
art in the world, leading to the widest selection of listings for our buyers and frequent
sales at record-breaking prices for our sellers.
As a result, some of the most valuable comic books and comic art in
existence have sold on ComicLink. Many extremely valuable vintage comic books and original art items sell on ComicLink every month, within both ComicLink Auctions and the Exchange sections. The Comic Book Exchange houses the largest selection in the world of high-quality vintage, CGC Graded
comic books, a wide selection of comic books not CGC Graded (but
condition verified by ComicLink's expert staff) and there is a large selection of comic art listings on the Comic Art Exchange. ComicLink sellers are responsible for establishing many record-setting price points on both vintage, CGC Graded comic books and original artwork. ComicLink offers a number
of different buying and selling options:
ComicLink Auctions: View the Auction Schedule
Comic book and comic art auctions are organized by our professional and experienced staff
in order to maximize bidder interest in special, high-quality collections and individual
items of value. Of any company conducting comic book and comic art auctions, ComicLink has
been online the longest - virtually since the inception of the browser as a viable
marketing tool in 1996. ComicLink Sellers frequently realize record-breaking price results as serious buyers bid against each other in order to
add comic books and comic art to their prized collections. Our philosophy with regards to
commission level is to offer the lowest total commission structure in the industry in
order to ensure that the highest percentage of what the buyer ultimately pays for each
item goes to the consignor. There are no seller listing, reserve or buyback fees and
generous cash advances may be issued for quality consignments. There is 100% fraud
protection for buyers. The end result in all of this is that through ComicLink, auction
consignors realize the highest net realized prices possible for their comic books and
comic art.
The Internet Comic Book ExchangeTM
Sellers consistently realized record breaking prices on the Comic Book Exchange.
This Internet Comic Book Exchange, accessible from the "Comics For Sale" tab,
works similar to the stock market - it is a bid/ask system where sellers list available
items at a set asking price. Interested buyers can either place a buy order at the asking price in order to secure the desired
item or submit a bid (that is, make an offer below the asking price)
in hopes that the seller is willing to negotiate. Sellers are then able to utilize our patented counteroffer system in order negotiate with bidders. An order is filled, utilizing our patented verification system after item
availability is confirmed and both parties agree on price.
The Internet Comic Art ExchangeTM
Sellers also consistently realized record breaking prices on the Comic Art
Exchange. This Internet Comic Art Exchange, accessible from the "Art For Sale"
tab, works the same way that the Comic Book Exchange does, and utilizes the same patented methods, except the focus is on original
comic book art.
Outright Purchase Option
We would also like to remind sellers that if they want to sell their collection for
immediate cash, ComicLink will also buy entire collections outright or individual vintage
comic books or comic art for a higher price than any dealer or collector.
Top Credentials
Launched on the Web in February of 1996, ComicLink has established the strongest network
of buyers and sellers both on and off of the Internet, leading to the widest selection of
vintage and high-grade listings for our buyers and the most frequent sales for our
sellers. ComicLink is trusted throughout the comic book industry and has many thousands of
satisfied clients worldwide. The buying and selling benefits, available selling options,
client base, customer service, expertise and functionality that ComicLink brings to our
users are unmatched.
ComicLink President Josh Nathanson is nationally recognized as one of the premier experts in the comic book field. A lifetime comic book collector, Nathanson formed ComicLink in order to establish the most reliable marketplace and auction house with the best selection of vintage comic books and comic art transacting safely over the Internet. Through hard work and dedication, this goal has been accomplished and Nathanson and ComicLink have earned the patronage and respect of the worldwide comic book community. Nathanson has extensive credentials within the industry. He is known throughout for pricing and grading expertise, and prides himself most on honesty, integrity, expertise and professionalism. Nathanson is and has been an Advisor to the Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide for many years, has written over one hundred columns for the Resale Report section of Comic Buyer's Guide ("ComicLink Comments") and has published columns in the Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide, Comic Book Marketplace, the Overstreet Comic Price Review. Nathanson was selected for Gemstone Publishing's Diamond Dialogue and Scoop "Star Collector" interview in 2005, a privilege shared by the most honored comic book aficionados. ComicLink is also a Comics Guaranty (CGC) Charter Member and CEO Josh Nathanson was one of the few panel experts asked to help CGC establish their grading standards in 1999. Nathanson graduated Cornell University in 1995 with a degree in Business Management and Marketing and received an MBA in Marketing in 1999 from Long Island University at CW Post, where he received the Dean's Award for graduating first in the University's MBA class of 1999.
ComicLink Sales and Auction Coordinator Douglas Gillock is a lifelong comic book enthusiast whose large and varied collection of Golden and Silver Age comics and original art began at the age of 8. Over the years, Gillock built a solid reputation as a full-time collector and part-time dealer, garnering respect from many in the field for his extensive knowledge of the history and hobby of comic books. He has been a Special Contributor to the Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide and helped write and produce graphics for the article "Defining The Ages" in Overstreet #34. Gillock graduated from Bennington College with a BA in Visual Art and Art History Theory in 1994. An accomplished visual artist, his work has been shown throughout the US.
Wide Selection
ComicLink specializes in investment-quality Golden Age, Silver Age, Bronze Age and
CGC-Graded comic books, vintagecomic book art, and related items. A large number of
sellers across the globe list comic books and other collectibles on ComicLink.
Consequently, we have an extremely wide selection of comic books and comic art for sale.
Frequent Updates
New items are usually listed multiple times throughout the day and night - buyers that
check back frequently can get first shot at the best books and the best deals!
Wantlist Service
If a particular comic book, comic art piece or other item that you are
interested in is not currently available on the site, you can make use of ComicLink's
Wantlist Service. This service notifies you the instant an item matching your
specifications is available - it is a great way to add to your collection and get a jump
on other eager buyers interested in the same material!
To start using this service right away, click here. If
you are a new customer and are not yet a registered user, you must register prior to using the service.
Bidding Ability
If there is an item in the For Sale section that you are interested in purchasing, but
you think the price is too high, you can submit a bid (an offer to the seller to purchase
the item at your bid price). The seller can then accept your offer, decline your offer, or
make a counteroffer.
Impartial and Accurate Grading
Buyers benefit from the large number of CGC-graded comics listed on ComicLink and the fact that for every
ComicLink transaction involving an uncertified book, ComicLink's professional staff will
assure accurate grading so that you know what you will receive ahead of time and you get
your money's worth. Buyers can feel confident that items purchased through ComicLink will
be accurately graded.
Safety and Fraud Prevention
ComicLink is a buyer's protection against fraud. A number of our clients have complained
about having sent payment to unknown Internet auction sellers only to realize later that
they have been swindled. One client did not get the merchandise he ordered at all and lost
his money completely. Another sent a large sum of money out to a seller advertising a
CGC-graded book in a particular grade. Upon receiving it, he found that the CGC holder had
been tampered with and a low grade copy was in place of the high grade book he was
promised. The book he received was worth thousands of dollars less than the book that he
paid for! ComicLink protects buyers from these horrors because all items are received by
ComicLink and inspected before sent to the buyer. This assures that buyers receive what
they pay for. Unlike other online comic book venues, you don't have to worry about being
taken advantage of by unscrupulous sellers when buying from ComicLink - it is the safest
place to purchase expensive, investment-quality comic books from other sellers over the
Internet.
Secure Packaging
All comic books are securely packaged and insured (unless otherwise requested) when
shipped from ComicLink to the buyer.
Money Back Guarantee
ComicLink provides a 6-day money back guarantee on all non CGC-graded comic books
(including PGX books, unless the PGX books were purchased at auction). A return will be
accepted if all of the following occur: 1) Payment is received from the buyer on time 2)
The book is mailed back out to ComicLink no later than 6 days from the date received by
the buyer, 3) ComicLink receives an email or phone notification within the 6-day time
period that the book is going to be returned, and 4) The item is received by ComicLink in
the same condition sent, within 12 days from the date the book was first received by the
buyer. In the extremely rare
event that CGC's competant staff misses restoration on a book, and that book is
subsequently shown to be problematic at any time in the future (after being reviewed by
CGC or by ComicLink's staff before it is cracked out of the CGC holder), a full refund
will be issued.
Cancelling Orders Placed
Sellers must be able to rely on orders that buyers place through the
ComicLink system. Any questions that may lead to your not wanting an item must be asked prior to
placing an order in the system. Through our system, buyers have ample time to review the
item(s) ordered prior to submitting and confirming the order on the site. Changing your
mind after a legally binding order (or, offer to purchase) is
placed is not fair to sellers. Therefore, failure to pay for an item ordered will result
in permanent cancellation of a buyer's account and, in some cases, potential legal action.
In addition, it is your full responsibity to safeguard your password. Items purchased by
any of your relatives or friends who obtain your password will be your responsibility to
pay for. Therefore, ComicLink will not cancel an order after it has been placed by the
buyer.
Cost Savings
Buyers can find accurately graded and competitively priced comic books on ComicLink and
save on shipping costs by purchasing more than one comic book at the same time.
Free Investment Advice
Comic books are a great investment. Throughout history, they have been unequivocally
proven to have as much upside as the best stocks without the same downside risk. No matter
how much a buyer loves comic books, at a certain price level it is always considered an
investment. Upon request, ComicLink will provide free, objective investment advice for
clients considering listed items for purchase. It is sometimes difficult to choose between
investments and some are better than others. Speaking with a professional can help. We can
also help you to build a collection or investment portfolio that meets your specific
needs. We have a vast network of contacts and have access to many of the most precious and
valuable comic books and comic art known to exist.
Confidentiality and Anonymity
ComicLink has among its client list numerous high profile individuals that want to remain
anonymous, whether buying items for their collection or selling.. Unless otherwise
instructed, ComicLink will keep buyer and seller information in the strictest of
confidence. We realize that trustworthiness is tantamount to having reputable
partnerships.
Payment Terms
Payment is due within 7 days of the day that our final order confirmation is
sent to you via email. There is only one exception. If a buyer needs more time to pay than
that, a plan may be worked out where the buyer can pay items off over time. However, this
must be arranged in advance of placing your order. Otherwise, late payment may result in
permanent cancellation of a buyer's ComicLink account. If interested in a payment plan for
books on the ComicLink web site, buyers must call in advance to work out terms
(617-517-0062).
Terms
and Conditions for Buying, Bidding and Logging into ComicLink
Please read the terms and conditions carefully before placing an order with ComicLink.
The terms and conditions will apply to every transaction unless another arrangement is
made. If trust is an issue for you, the most reputable references will gladly be provided
upon request.

list or call us now (617-517-0062 option 1).
Seller Benefits
Seller Service Options
Seller Benefits
Sellers receive many benefits in selling comic books and comic art through ComicLink.
These include, but are not limited to:
ComicLink Provides The Largest Client Base
Throughout the years, ComicLink has consistently realized the best prices for our sellers.
We are the industry innovator and have spent over 15 years promoting our service and
nurturing our many loyal buyers. As a result, sellers gain the largest exposure for their
material on ComicLink.com for their listings and auction items. The site receives millions
of hits per week and many eager and exclusive buyers view listings on a daily basis.
Vintage comic books and art that would take weeks or months to sell at auction commonly
sell in a matter of days or hours on the Internet
Comic Book and Comic Art Exchanges for
significantly more! Vintage comics and art also fetch more in our auctions. The reason is
simple - trustworthiness combined with our exclusive client base is a winning combination.
Our devoted, global client base of collectors and dealers actively use ComicLink and our
large and ever expanding network of buyers means an instant and aggressive customer base
for our sellers. We have been online since 1996 (virtually since the inception of the Web
as a viable marketing tool and longer than any other rare or vintage comic book company).
In that time we have established a reputation for site functionality, payment reliability
and expertise second to none. We also have the most well placed advertisements in visible
trade publications, including the most full color spots in the Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide. Many
articles are also frequently written about ComicLink's vintage listings and
record-breaking sales. More traffic from the right kind of buyers leads to frequent, top
dollar sales for ComicLink sellers.
ComicLink Enables Sellers to Receive
Record Breaking Prices
For years, ComicLink has been the site both buyers and sellers trust most.
One of the reasons ComicLink showcases the best items is that knowledgeable sellers are
consistently able to sell their items for more on ComicLink then on any other venue.
People who sell on ComicLink consistently realize record-breaking prices for their
vintage items. Samples of ComicLink record-breaking sales are featured on the home and For
Sale pages of the site.
Three Selling Venues
We offer a combination of venues through which to sell - the For Sale/Bid sections (the
Comic Book Exchange TM and the Comic Art Exchange TM)
and two ComicLink Auction venues:
For Sale/Bid sections (the Comic
Book Exchange and the Comic Art Exchange):
The For Sale section works like the stock market - it is a bid/ask system where you can
list available items at a set asking price. Interested buyers can either place a buy order
at your asking price or submit a bid (that is, make an offer below the asking price). You
can then respond to buy orders and bids from ComicLink's ComicTrackTM section. Sellers only need to list
items in the For Sale section once and they are listed until either sold, deleted or moved
by you to the eBetter Auction section of ComicLink.
Featured Auctions TM and Focused AuctionsTM :
Our top-tier auction venue, held quarterly, is the Featured Auction. This auction is always an event that resonates throughout the comic book collecting community. It showcases the very best in valuable, vintage comic books and original artwork selected by our staff
as being of high enough quality and value for inclusion. Our Focused Auction material is also screened to meet quality requirements by our expert staff, but there is a lower value level bar for individual lots. Each session within these monthly auctions (of which we hold 7 each year) focuses on a specific category of material. Sessions include: Golden Age comic books (1930s through mid-1950s); Key and high-grade comic books from the Silver Age (late 1950s through 1975); Late Bronze and Modern Age comic books graded by CGC (1976 through the present); Assorted comic books and Original Artwork.
ComicLink counts the most aggressive buyers in the industry among it's exclusive auction bidder clientele, and that enables sellers to not only get fair market value, but to frequently obtain record-breaking price results in ComicLink Auctions. Another thing that helps a seller's net sales is that we also have the lowest total auction commission structure in the industry, translating into less out of pocket cost to our sellers. Our auction deal truly cannot be beat! We are always looking for new material for upcoming auctions, so if you have a collection of comic books or comic art, or an individual item, that you think qualifies for one of our Focused Auctions, we are waiting to hear from you via email or telephone (617-517-0062 option 1).
eBetter Auctions:
Registered sellers can run 3, 5, 7, or 10 day real-time
eBetter Auctions. There is no listing fee, no reserve fee and no penalty
if items do not sell. If the reserve is not met or there are no bids above your start
price, the item will automatically be posted into the For Sale section at your desired
list price (asking price). Our staff also professionally grades and auctions comic books
for owners of collections that do not have the time, or the know-how, to do it themselves.
These "ComicLink coordinated eBetter Auctions" are promoted to many collectors
who want what you have, and are a great way to turn comics into cash.
If you do not know which of the above services will work best for you, call ComicLink (617-517-0062, option 1) prior to listing and a live sales advisor will recommend a selling strategy right for you.
Convenient Full-service Brokerage
ComicLink enables you to negotiate quickly, efficiently and anonymously with buyers
yourself through the ComicLink system. However, sellers can also expect top rate service
from our professional staff. Our experts can recommend a sales strategy, suggest pricing,
and for the most valuable items we can negotiate with buyers on your behalf.
Effortless Transaction Processing
When you sell on ComicLink, and we don't already have the sold items in our possession,
all you need to do is send them to us. We do everything else involved with the
transaction, from handling credit card processing (without charging you a fee!) to
shipping out your books to multiple parties. Even though you will be dealing with many
different buyers, you will not have to spend time dealing with multiple parties for each
transaction, shipping out many packages, or worrying about bounced checks and costly
credit card processing fees.
ComicLink Saves You Money
In addition to the ability to yield record breaking prices and provision of top notch
service, listing on ComicLink also keeps your costs down! There is no listing or reserve
fee levied in either the For Sale section or the Auction section - if your reserve is not
met in the Auction section, you are not charged a cent. This translates to huge cost
savings as savvy sellers can avoid unnecessary fees that others sites charge. Items listed
for $50 or more are free and there are no other charges except for a small seller
commission levied upon the sale (we have to stay in business, somehow! You can find more
information on ComicLink commissions in the seller service option section after this one.
Another way ComicLink saves you money is that, unlike most auction houses, we do not charge a hefty buyer commission. Most auction houses try to disguise the fact that the seller is getting a much lower percentage of the total final price realized by calling a portion of their commission a "buyer" commission. Almost always, auction house buyer commissions amount to 15 to 20% of the final sales price (the price the buyer pays for your item). An auction house will commonly try to "sell the seller" by saying that the buyer is the one who pays the buyer commission. That is not true, because the lower the buyer commission, the greater the amount of an item's value that goes to the seller instead of the auction house. The smart seller knows that even if the auction house waives their seller commission entirely, with a high buyer commission, they can still take a bigger cut of the final sale price out of your pocket. We know that this is not necessarily intuitive and may confusing for novice sellers. If you need further illustration, feel to give us a call.
ComicLink Saves You Time
We understand that your time is very precious and have designed our system with that in
mind. First, you can list your entire inventory in the
For Sale section within a very
short period of time - very little effort on your part can result in very significant
sales. If you are unfamiliar with the listing process and are unsure of how to get
started, simply contact us (617-517-0062) and we will advise you on the fastest way to start
selling your items. Secondly, once you have your inventory listed, the sales will begin
rolling in (as long as your prices are reasonable). Since there is no time limit imposed
on your For Sale listings, you do not have the drawback of having to
do the work every week to relist your items. This is another major time saver for our
sellers.
Prompt Payment
You can count on prompt payment when you sell your items through ComicLink. Unlike other
services that take as long as 2-3 months after selling an item to settle the account (as
much as 6 months after the initial consignment), ComicLink mails payments the first or
second week of every month for all completed sales to date.
We have been in business for nearly a decade and have a consistent track record for prompt
payment and a reliability that is second to none.
Established Dealer or Collector Benefits
For many years, experienced dealers and major collectors alike have found ComicLink to be
a strong additional selling tool. If you are an established dealer or collector, and you
are able to accurately assess the condition of your items, you may obtain "preferred
seller" status. This means that you can list your comic books for sale on ComicLink
without first having them CGC-graded or having the grade verified by ComicLink's grading
service. If you think you qualify for preferred seller status, please call (617-517-0062) and ask to speak with
Josh Nathanson.
Insurance and Professional Packaging
Your items are insured both on ComicLink premises and in transit to buyers, and items are
always professionally packaged.
Top Credentials
ComicLink CEO Josh Nathanson is nationally recognized as one of the premier experts in the
comic book field. Mr. Nathanson has been an Overstreet Price Advisor for many years, has
been a weekly columnist for the Resale Report section of Comic Buyer's Guide ("ComicLink Comments"), and writes a
monthly market report for Gemstone's Overstreet
Price Review. ComicLink is trusted throughout the comic book industry and has many
satisfied clients worldwide. ComicLink is also a Comics Guaranty (CGC) Charter Member.
Nathanson was also one of the few comic book professionals selected to help CGC establish
its grading standards. The most reputable references can be provided upon request to
potential sellers.
Auction Selling Option:
One excellent option available to sellers of vintage comic
books, CGC Graded comic books, and original comic book or illustration artwork is to sell
via ComicLink Auctions. The commission for CGC Graded comic books (either those already
CGC Graded or those that ComicLink gets graded for you), and for Original artwork when
selling at auction is a flat 10%. We can be extremely helpful to sellers in processing
their vintage comic book collections for sale. Collections containing raw (books not CGC
graded) books that qualify (generally those published in the 1960s and earlier or ultra
high-grade 1970s material) can be filtered for items that make sense to get CGC graded
(where the increase in value outweighs the cost) and if they are valuable enough, we will
submit them to CGC, lay out the CGC fees, pass along our 20% CGC discount, and charge the
lower 10% commission rate. Most or all of the books that don't make sense to be CGC graded
can be sold raw by ComicLink within our auctions for a commission ranging between 10% and
25% depending on the overall value and composition of the collection. If you are
interested in selling in ComicLink Auctions, a good first step is to either email
ComicLink at buysell@comiclink.com your
prospective list of auction items. If you do not have a list, but you have a large
collection to sell, you can either email us some details about your collection (i.e. key
issues, key title runs, time periods or cover price ranges, publishers, condition
specifications if known) or phone us weekdays at 617-517-0062 (option 1) between 9pm and
6pm (Eastern Time) to provide us with more information.
Three service options are available to the
Exchange (For Sale section) sellers:
Exchange Selling Option #1 (Consignment not required):
Sellers of CGC-graded or CGG/PGA-graded books and original comic art will, most likely,
automatically qualify for Selling Option #1. If you want to sell CGC-graded books or comic
art, and you are a registered user, click on the "Sell" link at the top of the
web site to apply for ComicLink seller status. To do this now, click
here. If you are a seller who knows how to grade accurately and is reliable, then you
can also sell uncertified books on ComicLink under Selling Option #1. Sellers interested
in this option can apply for ComicLink seller status by
clicking here (you can also do this later at any time by clicking
"Sell" on the navigation bar at the top of the page). We will review your
submission and contact you promptly with a response. Once approved, you can begin listing
under Selling Option #1 and start to generate increased sales through ComicLink. For more
information about this option, click here.
Exchange Selling Option #2 (Full-Service Consignment Level):
This option is recommended for those with less experience in determining the condition or
value of their merchandise and/or less time available to handle the sales process
themselves. For more information about this option, click here.
Direct Selling Option (Sell Directly to ComicLink):
If you have quality material and you would like to receive payment immediately, we can pay
you a generous price upfront for your collection. We are looking primarily for 1930's
through 1960's comic books and high-grade comic books from the 1970's. If interested in
this option, email us your
list of items for sale, or give us a call at 617-517-0062

All payments should be made payable to "COMICLINK" and mailed to the following
address for processing:
COMICLINK

Chicago, IL 60673-1249
Credit card orders can be processed most
quickly. Checks and Money Orders must clear before the order is shipped. Please allow two weeks from the date that your payment clears for an order to ship and three weeks for delivery before inquiring about shipping status of orders not yet received. Correspondence included along with check or money order payment will not be read. Bank wires are
possible for more expensive transactions and required for transactions over $50,000. Buyers outside of the U.S. - please make sure that if you pay by check or money

Return Policy
ComicLink provides a 6-day money back guarantee on all non CGC-graded comic books
(including PGX books). A return will be accepted if all of the following occur: 1) The
book is mailed out to ComicLink no later than 6 days from the date received by the buyer,
2) ComicLink receives an email or phone notification within the 6-day time period that the
book is going to be returned, and 3) The item is received by ComicLink in the same
condition sent, within 12 days from the date the book was first received by the buyer. In the extremely rare event that
CGC's competant staff misses restoration on a book, and that book is subsequently shown to
be problematic at any time in the future (after being reviewed by CGC or by ComicLink's
staff before it is cracked out of the CGC holder), a full refund will be issued.
Cancelling Orders Placed
Orders cannot be cancelled. Sellers must be able to rely on orders that
buyers place through the ComicLink ystem. Any questions that may lead to a buyer not
wanting an item must be placed prior to placing an order in the system. Through our
system, buyers have ample time to review the item(s) ordered prior to submitting and
confirming the order on the site. Changing your mind after a legally binding order (or, offer to purchase) is
placed is not acceptable to us. Therefore, ComicLink will not cancel an order after it has
been placed by the buyer. Therefore, failure to pay for an item ordered will result in
permanent cancellation of a buyer's account and, in some cases, potential legal action.
Buyers are responsible for shipping and handling. Rates vary and can be seen during the
ordering process upon checkout. There is a standard 3% buyer premium on purchases. Cash
discounts may apply depending on promptness of payment.

Packaging Information
Packaging advice for -
Avoid padded envelopes -- mail your comic books in boxes. Envelopes are too easily damaged
in transit and all too often turn a NM book into a FN. For your protection, we recommend
that you "bag and board" each comic book. Because they are semi-rigid, it is
safer to ship comics in mylars than in regular bags. We also suggest that you surround the
comics by thick cardboard on each side (make sure the cardboard is flat so the comics you
are trying to protect don't get bent). Dimensions of the cardboard should exceed the
dimensions of the comic(s) in order to protect the edges and corners. Secure the comics in
place within the box so that they do not move around in transit -- this will also prevent
corner and edge damage. You may need to buffer the box with newspaper and/or bubble wrap.
Make sure to insure the package for the full value and have the receiver (ComicLink) sign
for the package. We recommend FedEx and the Post Office for incoming packages.

Services Provided to the Seller
1) Free listings and/or auctions until your items are sold (for items worth $50 or more unless under contract).
2) When you list your items on ComicLink, you will benefit from advertising expenditures at no cost to you. We pay for advertising in a number of visible trade publications including the Overstreet Price Guide and Comic Buyer's Guide.
3) ComicLink can provide you with an instant customer base. In some cases, an item can be sold within an hour of listing it! Because we've been doing this in a full-service capacity since 1996, ComicLink has a large and established network of loyal buyers that regularly check listings.
4) Full-service brokerage and transaction processing - this includes everything from negotiating with buyers on your behalf to free credit card processing. You only need to deal with ComicLink. Selling through ComicLink allows you to avoid the hassle of dealing with multiple, unknown parties.
5) No exclusive required. This option allows the seller to hold the listed items on his or her premises while listing them on ComicLink. Because we only want you to benefit from listing your items with ComicLink, you are not prohibited from selling listed items yourself. There are a few rules, however (see the requirements below).
6) All Inclusive Option. If you are interested in consigning books with ComicLink, and the books are significantly valuable and have already been or will be graded by CGC, you can send the books to us and we will do the scanning and listing for you! We will then hold them at our location to ship off to buyers as the books sell, instead of you having to ship them to us one at a time. If you need expert pricing advice, or would like us to do the pricing for you, we will also provide that for you. All this, for no extra charge! If you are interested, email us a list of comic books you propose to send with "Seller Option #1 All Inclusive Option" in the subject field, and we review the list and send you a prompt response. Before sending the email, please make sure you have registered and applied to be a seller already by clicking the "sell" tab at the top of the web site and filling out the short seller registration form.
Requirements
1) In order to qualify for this option, the seller must be able to grade accurately by Overstreet grading standards or have their books certified by CGC.
2) If any listed item is no longer available in the future, you must immediately delete it from the ComicLink database (you can do this from your ComicTrack section). This is necessary in order to keep the listings current.
3) Items cannot be available for sale via any auction or other 3rd party site at the same time as they are listed on ComicLink.
4) Books submitted to ComicLink for listing can be advertised directly by the seller in print or on the seller's own web site while on ComicLink if the price is the same or lower on ComicLink. This is necessary in order to keep the listings competitive.
5) Seller must agree to the execution details directly below.
Execution details - Upon notification from ComicLink that your sell order can be filled, you are obligated to ship that comic book to ComicLink at your expense by a recognized courier service such as FedEx, the U.S. Postal Service or UPS. You must use best efforts to make certain that ComicLink receives your comic book within five (5) business days following the date you have been notified, or ComicLink is not obligated to process the sale (although ComicLink may still choose to do so). In the event that a carrier charges ComicLink a receiver's fee or a customs fee, that fee will be passed on to you.
Listing Fees - If a large number of books valued over $50 is submitted to ComicLink, there are no listing fees. Otherwise, items listed for less then $50 require a per-item listing fee of $5. Exceptions may be made by prior arrangement between ComicLink and the seller.
Commissions - A ten percent (10%) seller commission is charged after the sale. No commission is levied on unsold items. This low commission translates into increased sales and a maximum percentage of the actual sale price going directly to the seller. We can say with certainty, that no other company with a comparable client base of buyers can come close to our low total commission. Without a comparable client base of buyers, comparable sales figures cannot be obtained within a comparable amount of time.
If interested in this option, please read the terms and conditions. If you agree to the terms, you may begin selling comic books on ComicLink in one of two ways. If you want to sell under this option, and are a registered user, click on the "Sell" link at the top of the web site to apply for registered seller status.

time or knowledge necessary to accurately grade and/or price them.

2) Listing or Auctioning
3) Grading

6) Scanning of key items - all consigned items worth $500 or more will be scanned within
one week of receipt. Other consigned items will be scanned as time allows.
7) Credit card processing
8) Safe packaging and insured shipping to buyers (including provision of shipping

9) Escrow Service
10) You will also benefit from our large customer base and advertising expenditures.
Requirements
1) Normally, the seller will give ComicLink the right to sell the consigned books for a
minimum period of 6 months. Other arrangements may be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
Listing Fees - None
Other fees - There are no fees unless ComicLink sells your books for you. After the sale, we charge a 10% to 25% seller commission (depending on the quality of the material, and whether or not it make sense to have your items graded by CGC). 10% is the absolute lowest total commission that you will find in the industry for the service that we provide. Here's why: Most services charge both a seller commission and a hefty buyer commission with the total commission frequently adding up to 30-40%. Take the following example:
Company A advertises the lowest seller commission in the industry. It charges a 20% buyer commission (sometimes called a buyer premium) and a 10% seller commission. The total commission from the sold item is 30%. Therefore, the seller ends up getting only 70% of the value of his item.
Company B (ComicLink) charges a 10% seller commission for qualifying collections and individual items, and a 0% buyer commission. This results in the seller realizing 90% of the value of his item! Even if Company B charges a 25% seller commission for lesser material and a 0% buyer commission, the seller realizes 75% of the value of his items -- still more than if he sold with the company charging a 20% buyer commission and a 10% seller commission.
Which company would you choose? Even though Company A charges "only" a 10% seller commission, you would obviously be better off with Company B for two reasons. First, you will realize more money for your items, and second Company B's policy of not charging high buyer commissions does not "turn off" buyers, hold back bidding and decrease realized prices thereby further reducing the seller's net result.
